Provisional Psychologist/Behaviour Support Practitioner

Nellie is a Provisional Psychologist and registered Behaviour Support Practitioner with a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology.

Nellie specialises in taking a strengths and values-based approach in supporting clients to overcoming obstacles, improve their quality of life and reducing their engagement in challenging behaviours by learning vital living, emotional and social communication skills. Nellie has a special interest in supporting autistic children and their families. She also has experience with clients with a range of mental health diagnoses, including Depression, Anxiety and Borderline Personality Disorder both in community and inpatient settings. Nellie has a broad range of skills including working with families, individuals and service teams to provide Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and develop person-centred, comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans. She is also skilled in both individual and group-based therapy and has strong coaching skills ensuring that plans can be readily implemented and effective. Nellie is a warm and engaging practitioner who uses her compassionate approach to support her clients through evidence-based interventions whilst ensuring their neuro-atypical qualities are accepted, embraced and celebrated.
